It is the museum intention to present the history of the Schindler's Factory in a larger historical context and to give visitors the opportunity to gain a more in-depth understanding of the history of Krakow during Nazi German Occupation.
The „protagonist” of the exhibition entitled 'Krakow during Nazi Occupation (1939–1945)', is the City of Kraków and its inhabitants during WWII. Carefully selected critical issues of the city’s interwar history (1918–1939), presented e.g. in the original stereoscope surviving from that period, act as a prelude to the main wartime story.
Visitors are guided through the exhibition by the historical figures of selected representatives of Kraków’s wartime inhabitants whose individual life stories symbolize the private histories of many Polish and Jewish citizens of the city.
