Damansara Utama (or locally known as "Uptown") is a township in Petaling Jaya in the Selangor region, composed of the sections denoted by SS20 and SS21. It is a residential and commercial hub adjacent to the widely used LDP (Damansara-Puchong Expressway). Damansara Utama houses the Malaysian office of many mutinational companies, among restaurant and fashion houses. Damansara Utama is the bank-zone, mainly because local and some foreign banks set up their branches here amidst the commercial area. Among some of them are Maybank, Public Bank, RHB Bank, AmBank, CIMB Bank, Standard Chartered, UOB, OCBC and HSBC.

Residents in Damansara Utama (SS21) does their shopping in nearby malls such as One Utama and the Curve since there are no shopping malls here. Not considering that a handicap since there are various restaurants such as Lammeeya, which serves authentic Malaysia Chinese cuisine. the Damansara Hokkien Mee and Village Park Restaurant.

In the SS20 part of Damansara Utama, you will be able to find views of a different sort, more notable for the nightlife portion. For a good night's out, you may want to try 798 Wine Bar located in one of the newer shopping malls in Petaling Jaya - The Tropicana CIty Mall. Alternatively, you can enjoy some music at Artista.
