The Vortex Jazz Club

For two decades, the Vortex has been on the tip of the tongue of jazz musicians and fans in London. Its premises in Gillet Square has live, sit down Jazz from across the spectrum of jazz music every night of the week in the upstairs room, while the downstairs bar is a cosy hangout for the G&T set.

While it places a strong emphasis on young local talent, the Vortex also features leading world-class artists, both from the UK and abroad.

There is something to appeal to all musical tastes: straightahead, big-band, contemporary, trio, vocal, free-improvisation, world-music, Gypsy/East European and folk-orientated are all represented.
