Our Local Experts say:
Wine bars are a great excuse for a relaxed and chilled out evening. They're not as wild as nightclubs and less bawdy than some pubs - they're pretty much on a parallel with cocktail bars. Either way you'll be served by knowledgeable connoisseurs.
With a winebar, unlike other varients of London nightlife, you get the chance of a really decent meal with your choice of tipple as well. Take Balls Brothers on Tooley Street for example; their experience in the wine industry is nearly two-hundred years strong, but they serve full course meals as well. Other places, the The Booking Office, offer a much more drink-focused experience and set within a gigantic interior. Wine bars in London should definitely not be overlooked.
