![]() The Rubens at the Palace OverviewThe Rubens at the Palace is not only a renowned and sophisticated hotel located on Buckingham Palace Road, it also offers fine dining and buffet style carvery in their two in-house restaurants – the Old Master’s Restaurant and the Library Restaurant. Both restaurants feature an elegant and modern interior as well as an excellent service.
The Library Restaurant has been awarded with an AA Rosette for their English and international cuisine and first rate wines from around the world. All dishes are prepared with the finest and freshest ingredients obtainable and are lovingly presented. Signature dishes are the whole grilled Dover sole with chive and butter sauce and the rump of Welsh lamb with warm salad Niçoise and watercress purée. Ask the restaurant manager or one of the friendly and professional waiters for a free tasting or the Bouchard Finalyson collection of wines from South Africa.
The Old Master’s Restaurant is set in the style of a traditional carvery featuring high ornate ceilings and beautiful vintage chandeliers. While the restaurant offers a superb selection of pastries, cereals, fruits and croissants for breakfast, Executive Chef Daniel Collins presents a wide variety of salads, fish, meats and vegetarian dishes for lunch and dinner. Signature dishes are the Aberdeen Angus beef selected from the finest Scottish herds and the succulent roast.
While the Old Master’s Restaurant is opened daily for breakfast, lunch and pre-theatre dinner from 10:00 – 17:00 hrs, the Library Restaurant opens from 19.30 with last orders at 21:45 hrs. Both restaurants mediate a warm and welcoming atmosphere and, together, they cater for every guest’s appetite and wishes. |
