![]() Elephant Walk OverviewThe Elephant Walk is located on West End Lane in West Hampstead where it offers genuine dishes from Sri Lanka. The owners, a couple from Sri Lanka, fulfilled their dream with when they opened the Elephant Walk in 2005. The restaurant is stylish and provides its guests with high quality meals. Afternoon tea is also available in the Tea Room plus cookery classes can also be arranged.
The food from the island off the coast of the Southern India is subtly different to that from the subcontinent India. While rice and curry are the staple food in Sri Lanka, ingredients and spices like clove, cardamom and black pepper are indigenous to Sri Lanka. The Elephant Walk offers a wide variety of authentic dishes such as green cabbage tossed with mustard seeds, noodles with chicken marinated in ground coconut and lamb madras noodles. Each dish is an experience on its own and is best accompanied by a glass of their house wine.
The Elephant Walk features a private dining room available for hire. It is as minimalist and as modernly decorated as the rest of the restaurant. Relying on white and black furniture, set off with a red wall, the owners of the restaurant wanted the guests to focus on the food and on the joy of spending a nice meal with your friends and family.
