Delivering a graceful decadence in the heart of central London, Gow’s Restaurant and Oyster Bar – brought to London by Ball’s Brothers – is ideal for diners seeking a sophisticated diner that specialises in exceptional marine-influenced gourmet meals. The restaurant is located con the corner between Liverpool Street and Broad Street, and is open for from noon to 3pm for lunch, and the again from 5pm to 9pm for dinner.

The upstairs Oyster Bar is open from 11am to 11pm, and proves popular with diners for a pre or post meal drink, while also serving a limited but impressive array of bar snacks and light meals, including fresh crustacean oysters. The entire Gow’s establishment is a firm favourite with the nearby city workers, and has a refined, but simmeringly raucous atmosphere each evening, while lunchtimes are tangibly more professional occasions.

The food served at Gow’s restaurant is always produced using only the freshest and most seasonal ingredients, meaning the menu is liable to change on a daily basis. However, some staples and specials that are just begging to be sampled include the fresh British oysters with shallot vinegar and oysters, or the Irish Calingford Lough Rocks for starters, and the whole grilled Cornish plaice, spiced roast Monkfish with coconut and chick pea rosti, pan-fried skate wing with capers or the Ramiro pepper with creamed leeks and poached egg for mains. The wine list at Gow’s is wonderfully varied, and will delight most palates.
