![]() Sitaaray OverviewThe Sitaaray restaurant serves creative North Indian cuisine on Drury Lane in the beautiful Convent Garden area. Sitaary means stars in Hindi and stars are what the restaurant deserves. Wonderful food is served in a truly unique environment with a fabulous waiting staff to look after you.
The restaurant offers several promotions such as dinner for a set price of £22.95 with nine kababs, three curries and more brought to your table repeatedly. Sitaaray’s signature dishes are the tender salmon tikka, the vegetarian tandoori broccoli and the lamb kababs. All dishes offered a welcome change to the otherwise predictable and slightly boring menus other Indian restaurants offer. Unique ingredients and inventive combinations turn Siraaray’s menu into a haven of delicacies. The restaurant further offers a great wine list to complement the dishes. However, being in an authentic Indian restaurant, the cocktails and lassi list should be the focus of attention. The cocktails are named after Indian movies – the overall theme of the restaurant.
The interior of Sitaaray resembles a traditional small movie theatre except for the smell of delicious meals in the air. Pictures and photographs of famous Indian actors and movies decorate the restaurant’s walls and let guests dive into the magical world of Bollywood. Rich coloured banquettes, chairs and table cloths emphasise the Bollywood feeling even more. The restaurant attracts families and friends, tourists and locals for lunch and pre and post theatre daily between 12:00-15:00, 17:30-19:00 and 22:30-23:30 hrs. |

March 2011 Best Indian food in town
Janet Phillips from London
If you are looking for a great meal of Indian food this is the place. Not only is the food great, but it is also priced well. The only problem that I had was with the service, it seemed like they were rushed. The Bollywood decor is really unique.
