There are several Turkish restaurants spotted along Kingsland Road, in Shacklewell, just north of Islington. Here, and elsewhere across London, you'll find Turkish cuisine at its finest.
An exemplary Turkish dish is pilaf. It serves a purpose at ceremonial meals as well as day-to-day cooking, and the most well-known pilaf dish in Turkey is rice pilaf, though there are others.
