Tower of London

The Tower of London is also one of our Top 20 Attractions, but we felt it deserved a position of its own within the royal category such is its importance and longevity in London.

Sitting within the Tower itself is the White Tower, a piece of the original structure which has survived since its conception in 1078; it's amazing to see a genuine piece of historic London. Elsewhere within the grounds, you'll find various wandering Yeomen Guards in their black and red attire. Other representatives you'll see wearing those infamous bear skin hats and blazing red uniforms. Tip: when these people are at their post it is mandatory for them to stand 100% still and not react to any sort of noises or funny dances. It's up to you whether you want to risk being bellowed at, but trying to make these soldiers crack a smile is always amusing.
