Famous Department Stores in London

While you may not have the money to buy what they have to offer, London's iconic stores make for some of the best window shopping in the world. Browse our company profiles here to find out more.

Although the London landscape is dominated by its attractions and historical architecture, it's also being supported by the monsterous department stores, namely Harrods and Hamleys. Visit either for a world of choice - making them hives of excitement over the Christmas period - but if it's toys of any sort you're after, Hamleys is your best bet. There're seven floors worth of toys, for crying out loud. Harrods is home to the simply outrageous in extravagance. The world's first domestic lion was purchased from Harrods. It's here you go to if you want a massive blow-out - their in-store restaurant even does caviar. London's shopping departments are behemoths of the shopping world.
