In their rooms, General Primo de Rivera was holding meetings with his ministers. King Alfonso XII use to escape from the palace to enjoy their cooking. In 1916 a famous spy, Mata Hari was arrested on leaving the restaurant. Writers Gómez de la Serna, Baroja and Azorín were honored in these halls.
