The Spanish health system is considered one of the best in Europe.

With a large number of hospitals and outpatient departments in almost every neighborhood, anyone is welcome free of charge to be treated in an emergency room if required.

Citizens from any country in the EEC have the right to be seen by a doctor in the public health system by appointment. Kindly check the following link to find your closer  health office

If any serious health trouble occurs, call the emergency telephone number112 if requiring an urgent ambulance and medical assistance.

Pharmacies

Pharmacies are available in large number in all neighborhoods, marked with a green cross.

Usual hours are from 08:00 to 21:00h. There is a 24h pharmacy service in each district. To find 24H service pharmacies, check at any pharmacy shop window.
