L'Hermitage Overview

Tucked away in a long fold at the beginnings of Mallorca's Tramuntana mountains, the Orient valley is a peaceful place of old farms, olive groves, oak and pine forests, and native Mediterranean aromatic plants. The estate of L'Hermitage has a 400 year history and was indeed a monastery for a while, but today it's a small hotel with buildings of great charm set in a tranquil rural environment.

L'Hermitage Rooms:

The 24 bedrooms are decorated in Mallorcan style, some with antique furniture, others more modern, and they enjoy direct access to terraces and gardens and spectacular views. There are three classes of room at different prices - singles, doubles, and superior doubles. Most of the bedrooms are in a modern annexe, but a more romantic few are in the old manor house building.

L'Hermitage Restaurants & Bars:

The old oil mill where olives were once pressed is now the home of the restaurant at L'Hermitage where the cuisine is based on fresh ingredients and home grown herbs, in the monastic tradition. Individual dishes can be ordered à la carte, or you could sample smaller portions of a range of dishes from the tasting menus.

Meals may also be enjoyed al fresco on the candlelit patio overlooking the stone arches and tower.

L'Hermitage Facilities:

The hotel has two tennis courts, a sauna, and the swimming pool, but also offers a range of treatments in the Spa and Wellness centre, where a professional therapist and beautician is waiting to pamper you! You can also use the hotel as a base for hiking or cycling the local area or, for the less active, enrole on a painting workshop led by well known local artists.

Should you wish to see more of our beautiful island, you can browse through some options on our interactive maps, and you'll find comprehensive information on your local transport options, including very competitive car hire in our Travel pages.
