	Son Matias Beach Overview We've got a soft spot for Palma Nova at MyDestination Mallorca. Certainly it's a package tour destination and gets a bit mad in summer, but it has beautiful beaches, an inviting promenade, and a host of diversions for the visitor. It's also very convenient for getting around, being just off the western motorway and only a few kilometres from Palma de Mallorca and the airport. The Spanish hotel grading system is based on room size and facilities, without reference to quality. As a result, guests at the three star Son Matias Beach frequently comment that this hotel should be a four star - we have never seen so many positive comments about a hotel. Situated right on the beach of the same name, the hotel has an adults only policy, and does not accept bookings for anyone under 16. Very popular with British guests of all ages because it has made every effort to make them feel at home. Son Matias Beach Rooms: All 135 rooms have balconies with panoramic sea views, a full bathroom with hair dryer, air conditioning, heating, radio and satellite TV, telephone, safe, fridge, and tea/coffee making facilities. (Note that some of these services incur additional charges.) Available room types are twin bedded, double bedded, and suites, some of which are adapted for disabled use. Son Matias Beach Restaurants & Bars: The restaurant offer buffet services for lunch and dinner on a half board basis, as well as à la carte options featuring traditional British favourites, as well as Spanish and Mallorcan cuisine. There's a lounge bar in the lobby and, in high season, a pool bar which offers snacks and light meals as well as refreshments. Son Matias Beach Facilities: All guests seem to comment favourably on the entertainment and activity programme, available day and night, with several professional acts performing in the evenings. If you fancy a night out, there's plenty available locally and the madness that is Magaluf, with nightspots, discos, the world famous Pirates, and much more, is an easy stroll along the promenade. That beach is just a few steps away, and both sun and shade is available in the terraces around the pool area.
