Michelin chef Marc Fosh presents a stripped down, more casual, and pocket friendly version of his imaginative Mediterranean cuisine in this contemporary restaurant in the heart of Palma de Mallorca's old town.

The 17th century Refectory of the Convent de la Missió has been transformed into an elegant minimalist space - the perfect relaxing backdrop to the sublime food.

Marc and his team produced one of the best meals we have ever eaten. The Guinea Fowl Ravioli to start was melt in the mouth as was our other starter of Scallops with Chestnut Puree and Smoked Bacon. The main courses of Shoulder of Lamb and Sandwich of Dover sole and Prawns, Black Rice and Saffron were unique and full of flavour finished off with a delicate, delicious desert of Passion Fruit & Chocolate "Delice" and a selection of Spanish cheeses. In between the courses we were given tasty surprises culminating in delcious chocolate truffles. A truly lovely meal, relaxed atmosphere and fantastic service. Thank you for making our evening so special.

The food was sublime

The food was sublime: a perfect duck terrine, studded with apricots, a little tangle of cabello d'angel (spagetthi squash) on the side, then a meaty chunk of grouper with some delicate chard-like greens and a buttery white bean sauce. The pudding was a chocolate ganache with a mandarin sorbet (citrus fruits are the Winter crop on the island), a lacy, nutty tuile, and salted caramel. The wine list is superb –especially its Mallorcan bins – service is charming, and quite why Michelin haven't awarded it a star bafles me.
