The Sale e Pepe Tradizione Italiana Restaurant is an Italian style casual restaurant located within the award winning Portomaso Yacht Marina Complex. Together with a number of other bars and restaurants, this is a favourite hangout for both locals and tourists to socialize in fine surroundings.

The interior of Sale e Pepe Tradizione Italiana has a welcoming warm ambience with terracotta tiles and traditional lava rock hand painted table tops. The outside terrace is ideal for al fresco dining while enjoying the views of the marina. This area is also open on good days in the winter months thanks to the outside heaters. The restaurant is popular with business people looking for a good casual lunch and with diners from all walks of life who want a tranquil dinner.

The menu at Sale e Pepe Tradizione Italiana restaurant is varied and includes homemade pasta, fresh fish catch of the day and foreign meat. Your choice for lunch could include a light starter such as a Marinated beef carpaccio with rocket leaves and parmesan shavings, followed by a delicious plate of Rigatoni 'alla Burina' with sausage, mascarpone, mushrooms and parmesan cheese. In true Italian style there are several pasta dishes to choose from, such as, 'Spaghetti Carbonara', 'Risotto with Sardinia Saffron' and 'Pappardelle with Rabbit Ragu`'. For those who prefer stuffed pasta, they offer 'Homemade Ravioli filled with Maltese ricotta in a tomato and basil sauce'... divine!

For a more comprehensive meal you could go for the Steamed mussels and clams served with white wine, garlic and fresh tomato sauce as a starter and a Pork cotoletta alla Milanese served with Rocket and Cherry tomatoes for mains. If you are into seafood then ask to see what fresh fish is available or simply go for the delicious Fillet of salmon cooked in olive oil and thyme in a potato crust.

The kitchen is open daily from 12.00-3.00pm for lunch, (excluding Monday), and from 7.00-11.00pm for dinner.

Sale e Pepe has been awarded with the certification 'Marchio di Ospitalita` Italiana' among the Quality Approved Italian Restaurants project in Malta.
