Zest Restaurant Overview

Zest forms part of the delightful Hotel Juliani, a superior 4-star designer boutique hotel. The concept of the restaurant is as fresh as it is original. Their catchphrase, ‘Zest...where East meets West’, describes the idea adeptly. Both the novel menu and the contemporary decor are a successful blend of eastern and western influences. The result is a hip place that exudes relaxed elegance.

The decor is a cool and stylish affair with a modern feel. Creative shapes, spaces and colours are a main theme and the sink-into sofas are an example of how our idea of casual chic has made it into this eastern diner. Zest also has a terrace overlooking the charming Spinola Bay. This is mainly used for a pre or post dinner drink. Other draws include the open wine cellar and a sushi bar where you can admire skilled chefs preparing delicious Japanese sushi.

The menu is a concoction of dishes from various far eastern countries. Indonesian noodles, Japanese Teppanyaki, Thai curries and Singaporean seafood Laksas, to name but a few. Needless to say that, under the pleasant direction of Erika and Georgios, the service is impeccable. A new concept at Zest is the ‘Shabu Shabu’ menu, a healthy and fun alternative which consists of raw beef or fish cooked at the table in a hot broth. A monthly buffet is also organised for those ambitious enough to try and taste the various house specialities in an evening.
