
	Malta Classic Car Collection Museum Overview The Malta Classic Car Collection situated in Qawra is considered to be amongst the best Classic Cars Museums in Europe as well worldwide. The idea of a museum was not always in the owner’s mind even though Carol Galea always had a great passion for cars. During his childhood he build a significant collection of car models and when he reached his driving age, Carol built a car to his own design equipped with a Jaguar XK 140 engine with which he participated in national hill climbs. His passion geared him to commence a real car collection with a Fiat 1200, still present today, paving the way. Eventually, lack of personal and friend’s garage space spurred Carol to open the Malta Classic Car Collection. The lovely 3000 square metre museum, reached through a regal marble staircase, today comprises classics such as Alfa Romeo, Austin, Jaguar, Fiat, Ford, MG, Mini, Sunbeam, Triumph, as well as most modern BMWs, Jaguar and Ferrari. There are also classic motorbikes such as the BSA, Vespa and Lambretta. Every car on display can be reached from all angles, making the enthusiast feel much more at ease to inspect thoroughly without being forbidden to take photographs. Apart from the over one hundred items on display, there is a great variety of jukeboxes, slot machines, life size models, memorabilia and posters. Carol himself is responsible for the remarkable photographic collection capturing a past motoring epoch. Available onsite is also a state of the art cinema that seats sixty-five and has continuous running documentaries. The Malta Classic Car Collection collection is truly great, a marvellous vehicle exhibition of international standard that is unlike anything else on the island.
