![]() Los Arqueros Golf Course OverviewSet high in the Ronda Hills, the challenging Los Arqueros golf course is just a short drive from San Pedro de Alcantara and Puerto Banus.
Accuracy and direction rather than length are the key factors in producing a good round on this Severiano Ballesteros designed course. With some very tight holes it may be advisable to play irons off the tee for position rather than length. The course should appeal to attacking golfers, and it will reward bold strokes.
The tranquil setting has some stunning views over the Andalusian Hills, several holes with views all the way down to the Mediterranean. This spectacular course offers golfers everything they need and is considerably more relaxed than the busier coastal courses. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming to all new comers, the clubhouse is complete with all the usual facilities and has an excellent bar/restaurant for after golf drinks.
Although open to all standards of golfers, absolute beginners will probably struggle and a buggy is advisable on this reasonably hilly course. It is always a good idea to see what offers are on because the course can be extremely competitively priced, in fact it almost can't be beaten, we play almost every weekend here!
Directions: Los Arqueros Golf is situated behind San Pedro de Alcantara. From the N340 turn right at the traffic lights east of San Pedro in the direction of Ronda. This road will pass the entrance of Los Arqueros (about 5km). |

July 2009 Its hard to beat it for value for money....
Im sure there are better golf courses around. In fact I know there are but this place seems to offer the best value. When your a member at a course at home I find it pretty hard to warrant paying 100 euros for a round but here it doesnt hurt your wallet too much and is a really good course. A little tough like a few have a mentioned but certainly very good quality and your guaranteed a laugh on some of the trickier holes if your not taking your golf too seriously.

September 2008 Good golfage
fmd from London
Me and 3 friends always come on a winter golf trip to Marbella and always have a good slog around Los Aqueros. Like the other reviewer mentioned it can be tough and there is no doubt you will be losing balls because the fairways on some of the holes are tight. My tip is to hold maybe 3 golf balls in your bag, the more balls I have the more I am inclined to fire ten off into the abyss on every tee...maybe thats just me.

July 2008 Great Value For Money, But a Tough Challenge
Neil Waller from London
Playing at Los Arqueros in Marbella you are always guaranteed to get value for money, to play on a course that does not just have players packed in as often as possible and so you dont have to keep waiting on every tee. It is up in the hills and so nice and peaceful. However, the course is very tight, and wayward shots will be very costly and often are as good as gone! That aside just club down and play for accuracy and it makes for a great round!!
