Nueva Kaskada Overview

Nueva Kaskada Restaurant, Terrace and Chill out bar in Marbella is a little gem of a place; tucked away between trees and the flowing mountain creek yet still less than a 10 minute drive from the Coast.

From La Cañada shopping centre it is just a 2 minute drive up the road to Ojén so despite the magical moutainside setting and privacy of the location it is actually very accessible and just as easy to reach as some of the restaurants in the centre of town. For me, it is a wonderful getaway and alternative from the more crowded beach front restaurants in the summer months. Perfect for a romantic meal or for when a group of friends want to take their time over a relaxed dinner and then kick their heels up for the night!

In the summer their spacious terrace and outdoor chill out bar is definitely the place to be whereas in winter the roaring log fires and cosy interior is very inviting.

The menu is created by Michelen star chef EWALD FICHTHALER and has Asian inspiration as well as full bodied Mediterranean flavour. The kitchen create a speciality dish every day with an emphasis on seasonal and fresh local produce. The menu is varied without being bewildering like other restaurants of this calibre and favourite dishes of ours (to be honest they are all great!) on the menu include :

-Carpaccio of prime beef stuffed with Foie-gras, served with truffle vinaigrette, rocket salad and pine nuts.

-Assorted Sashimi (salmon, tuna, seabass).

-Seared scallops with “Jabugo” ham puree, baby garlic and truffle jus.

-Sticky rice with crayfish, green asparagus and fried leek.

- Oven roasted coquelet with green peppercorn and wild mushroom sauce and seasonal vegetables.

Nueva Kaskada also complements their menu with a fabulous wine list. They have selected wines from all over the world and include some of my all time favourites which are not always easy to find here in Marbella! Bottle of Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc coming right up!

The Restaurant has a total capacity for over 300 people so it is also a perfect venue for a private party, wedding or corporate event. They also offer a free transport service home for groups when booked in advance; they will drop you back home or to one of the later venues or clubs in town so there are no worries about driving late at night after a few drinks.
