Garum Overview

Garum restaurant is located on the promenade in Marbella, provides a stunning setting for dining both day and night and the contemporary, lively atmosphere, excellent service and sumptuous cuisine ensures you will always have a great time when visiting the restaurant.

You can choose to dine outside on the terrace looking out over the palm trees across the Mediterranean or when it's a little chilly, cosy up inside the restaurant with its chic décor. Owner Timo Hamalainen and his staff are attentive and helpful, welcoming you as soon as you enter and make your meal all the more enjoyable with their friendly approach.

The menu is varied and creative at Garum with Scandinavian, Spanish and European influences and each dish is presented with flair and imagination. The lunch menu includes homemade tapas; an array of starters such as the Garum club croissant with Serrano ham, melted brie, chicken fillet, cream cheese and tomato; a selection of salads and many main dishes to tempt the taste buds.

The dinner menu at Garum includes some of the same lunch dishes and some delicious extras including monkfish with peach and leak bouillon served with potato and parsley cake; and grilled venison with juniper sauce served with broccoli, pumpkin and potato mash with forest mushrooms.

When visiting the restaurant we were treated to a meal of tasty treats including dim sum with shrimp, curry and lemon; nachos with cheddar cheese dip and guacamole; tasting of three soups; and red herring salad with wheat bread from the homemade tapas menu. This was followed by salmon tartar and smoked salmon served with horseradish ice cream and watercress and the Garum salad with Serrano ham, figs, gorgonzola and raspberry vinaigrette.

Next was dishes from the dinner menu - the grilled dorada fillets served with black noodles, thyme, cherry marmalade and vanilla carrots; and the rack of lamb in almond butter with rosemary, oven baked pumpkin and spring potatoes.

Dessert is a must at Garum and we enjoyed homemade truffles, white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake Garum style and the duo of raspberry crème brulée and white chocolate crème brulée.

Garum also serves a special set menu for lunch everyday which is €11 or €7.50 for the main course alone.

Garum restaurant also hosts some great live music events throughout the year with a special menu (usually 4 courses) for around 35€ so look in the events calendar to see what is on while you are here!
