Our Locals' Tip: This is a good place to grab an affordable bite to eat before heading into Puerto Banus for a night out. Parking is easy nearby in the underground car park too.
Route 66 is located in the heart of Puerto Banus on the main square, where you also find Tibu Nightclub. It's a stylish diner, bar and grill that promises to offer all its clients' great value and great food - not a combination you always find in Puerto Banus!
They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a menu including thick shakes, healthier smoothies, homemade burgers, juicy T-Bone steaks, hearty salads and sandwiches and of course the bar is also fully stocked with a great cocktail menu as well as a very reasonably priced wine list.
Route 66 has been the place to be seen in the last 12 months, with many premiership footballers visiting. Frequent diners include Peter Crouch and his wife Abbey Clancy, Stephen Carr, Ledley King, Scott Sinclair, Titus Bramble and Brendan Rogers; even Glenn Johnson tweeted about Route 66 having the best T-bone steak he had ever eaten!
The brain child of Nigel Wilson, and Pat and Camille Dean, all ingredients from the varied menu are sourced with care, choosing only the best quality ingredients to ensure each dish is as fresh and tasty as possible.
Breakfasts at Route 66 offer a selection that comprises of large dishes for those wanting to start the day with a hearty meal: these include The American Main Street - 2 eggs, sausage, crispy American bacon, breakfast fries and waffles, and The Grand Slam - rump steak, 2 eggs, breakfast fries, mushrooms and toast which at just €9.66 is very good value. There are also healthier options such as The California Dawn fruit salad, muesli and omlettes, and for children - small boxes of Kellogg's cereal.
The lunch and dinner menu at Route 66 certainly caters for all tastes and offers a variety of dishes to choose from whether you're grabbing a quick bite or are extremely hungry - go for the Hank Marvin - Triple grilled sandwich with Philadelphia cheese, crispy lettuce, tomato, red onion, cheddar cheese, ham, grilled chicken, American bacon, mayo and topped with a fried egg, served with fries...yum!
The kids are also definitely catered for at Route 66 with a special menu priced at just €5.66 inlcuding main course, dessert and drink!
Route 66 is an ideal dinner spot before a night in the port or at any time during the day for a pit stop and refuel and there is easy parking in the car park underground.
They also cater for birthdays and parties and show live sports in the seperate bar area including football, F1, golf, rugby and GAA.
Open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner every day from 11am until late.
