Torremolinos Aqualand
Marbella
This is a great day out, no matter what your age, but ensure to arrive early in the summer months as it can get very busy.
Aqualand is the largest water park on the Costa del Sol and is located just ten minutes from the centre of Torremolinos. This aquapark has all the usual death slides - including park favourites including Boomerang, Kamikaze (the highest in Europe at 22m high) and The Black Hole - rapids, a mini park for the kids, a surf beach with a wave machine, a tropical lagoon with calm water and a Jacuzzi.
This is a winner with the kids but you can just camp up for the day in one of the many green areas and do as little or as much as you wish. There's also a new mini-golf course if you don't fancy going down the Kamikaze for the eighth time!
There are places to buy food, snacks and drinks, but you can take a picnic in a cool box with you and drinks, but only in plastic bottles as glass isn't allowed in the park. The queues for food and drinks are pretty considerable in summer so even if you don't take a full day's worth of food we would recommend taking some snacks at least to keep you going. There are also lockers to store your valuables for the day.
Entry for adults €34, children five to 10 and senior citizens €26, and children three to four €14 and there is a slight discount if you buy on their website in advance (recommended also for speed of entry).
