Our Local Experts in Moscow

Born in Moscow and have been living there for all her life, Tasha (as she’s known to family and friends) became an expert, in one of the largest cities in the world, living. She always advises her friends, who come from all around the world to visit this amazing place, how to become “Moscow-proof” and to enjoy all things the city can offer.

She graduated from Pedagogical University and worked as a teacher for a couple of years, and then decided to change her path, starting a career in corporate travel and expense management. Her passion for travel became a part of the job where she got good experience in hospitality and travel businesses. She took every opportunity to travel as much as her busy schedule allowed, and explored Europe, including her favorite country, Italy. A couple years ago she discovered beauty of Caribbean, warmth of Florida and historically rich Virginia. During all those trips she always had a passion to share the beauty and hospitality of her homeland with people who want to come and experience the vast country.

Working with expatriates in British Embassy in Moscow, as a corporate accommodation officer, she observed a lack of local services/information resources for foreign tourists and expats in Moscow. Since then she always had an idea to fulfill this gap and reveal her hometown from a different point of view, a destination which has huge historical and cultural heritage mixed with famous Russian hospitality and a pulse of modern life.

During a research for a new travel destination Tasha spotted mydestination.com and dedicated a few weekends to explore the site. From the first glance she understood that it is exactly what she was looking for and fortunately Moscow, her destination, was available for development and she took this opportunity to transform her ideas into her own business.
