Central Tourist House Astrus OverviewThe Astrus Hotel, formerly the Central Tourist House, is a large modern hotel in the Troparevo-Nikulino green district of the city. (The hotel was renamed in February 2009.) The original hotel opened in 1980, and was built to host foreign tourists visiting the city for the Olympics. Currently, it welcomes business travelers with various amenities designed to provide them with a comfortable, productive stay. There is a European and a Chinese restaurant, a fitness centre and a bowling alley. The Vnukovo and Sheremetievo airports are about a 30-minute drive from the hotel. Central Tourist House Astrus Rooms: The hotel has 495 air-conditioned guest rooms, overlooking the Leninsky Avenue or the south-west part of Moscow. The rooms are classified as standard, comfort, studio, and deluxe. All of the rooms have televisions, telephones with long distance service, and internet access. There are small refrigerators. The standard rooms are available as single or double rooms, with a king-sized bed or two smaller beds. The comfort rooms have similar bed configurations, and have a separate sitting area. The Studio rooms also have a sitting area with leather lounge furniture; they have a queen-sized bed. The Deluxe rooms are a three-room suite. The bedroom has a king-sized bed, and there is a separate living room. There are two bathrooms, one of which has a Jacuzzi tub. Non-smoking rooms are available. There are rooms designed to be accessible to guests with physical disabilities. Central Tourist House Astrus Restaurants & Bars: Massimo Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, which are served a la carte. Breakfast is served daily in a nearby hall. The TsinUe Restaurant has a Chinese décor and menu. The Lobby Bar is open for coffee, drinks, and light dishes such as salads, appetizers and desserts. Central Tourist House Astrus Facilities: There is a spa-salon offering a variety of health and beauty treatments. The fitness centre has a trained staff to help guests. There is also a large bowling alley. The hotel can host receptions for up to 800 people in the restaurants and banquet rooms. There are also four conference rooms; the largest can hold up to 250 people. The rooms have sound systems, adjustable lighting, and Wi-Fi wireless internet access. Catering is available for business events. There is a business centre with modern technological equipment. |
