Cafe Calvados Overview

Cafe Calvados is located on the famous Leninsky Prospect in the central part of Moscow. This fine dining restaurant opened its doors in 2005 by Alain Llorca, the chef of the legendary restaurant Le Moulins de Mougins (Michelin two stars).

Cafe Calvados is an upmarket and luxurious restaurant specialising in Gourmet French Cuisine by the famous chef. The main hall is made of dark wood and is divided into two smaller zones. You can either sit by the panoramic windows overlooking the Leninsky Prospekt, or snuggle on couches with big cushions. For a more intimate atmosphere at Cafe Calvados there are a couple of cosy tables behind crystal bead curtains. There is a balcony available and ideal for business dinners. Cafe Calvados also has a bar area. The restaurant is filled with unusual decor elements: designer turtle lamps, floating horses on the walls and more to be discovered. The general atmosphere of the place is relaxed and comfortable.

Alain Llorca proudly notes that at Cafe Calvados he follows the same cuisine concept which brought fame to his original restaurant. This is accompanied by an extensive wine list. Fine wines from France, Italy, Chile, Spain and Argentina are all available. In addition, rare collectors' brands of champagne, wine, cognac, whisky and, of course calvados are all included in the exclusive beverages menu. Gourmet feasts and festivals are regularly held at Cafe Calvados and there is live music every night featuring Dutch singer Stephenie Cocker, Italian musician Beppe Summo and other artists from Western Europe.
