 LUCE OverviewLuce is a relatively new wine restaurant by Arkady Novikov in Moscow. The restaurant’s name is dedicated to one of the best and oldest wine producers in the world – Frescobaldi. The wine list has a comprehensive choice of wines from this Italian estate including ‘Luce’, a firm favourite with wine enthusiasts.
The interior design of the Luce restaurant is by Tina Kamachtnovoy, a young designer that was inspired by modern urban cafes in New York. The combination of steel, wood and natural fabrics are all used to reflect the style of a modern city. At night, the fireplace and warm lighting give the venue a unique atmosphere of comfort and warmth. Luce is divided into two main areas – the restaurant and the cafe. The seperation is more in terms of setting as in reality the full menu is available in both areas (smoking is also only allowed in the cafe area). The cafe is actually a favourite with cigar smokers as lighting is purposely installed to emphasize and reflect off smoke rings from the cigars and its unique ventilation system draws smoke upwards (rather than horizantally to the discomfort of other guests).
Inspired by Italian wine, the Luce restaurant’s menu also mainly features a combination of favourite Italian dishes such as pizza, risotto, focaccia and pasta. However, other delicious dishes from the rest of Europe, Asia and local Russian cuisine also feature. The menu’s variety is sure to tickle your fancy with one appetizing dish or another.
A special weekend feature of Luce is their extended breakfast times until 15:00 hrs for those who enjoy a longer sleep following a good night out. DJs also help to recharge client’s batteries by setting a cheerful and positive mood with uplifting music.
Luce restaurant is situated in a quiet area just across from the Sheraton Hotel and many of Moscow’s great attractions are also in the vicinity include the Palace of Culture, theaters and concert halls.
A 20% discount on the menu is applicable from 12 .00 to 16.00 hrs - Monday to Friday. Hookahs from Thursday to Saturday from 19.00 - 00.00 hrs Take-away is available. Major credit cards are accepted.

The interior & food was great! The restaurant leaves very good impression, but:
-the waitresses, being very nice & kind, lack of basic training, they were trying hard, but did not know & understand what they were doing. They need a LOT of additional training.
-We ordered 3 Long Island Ice tea cocktails-they we all like non-alcoholic ice tea. We asked to replace them-the same taste, but the cost was more than US$20.
-The music was way too loud to keep the conversation going. We asked to turn the volume down several times to no results.
-The extensive list & display of desserts & pastries were very good.
