Trains are a common method of transport in and out of Moscow as they are relatively cheap and well connected and efficient. There are 9 rail terminals within the Russian capital, each named after the main direction its trains take as all the train stations are actually located around the Moscow city centre.
If in Moscow, the most common way to get to a train station is by using Moscow’s popular metro. For example, the ‘Kazanski’, ‘Yaroslavki’ and ‘Leningradski’ rail terminals are all located within easy reach of the ‘Komsomolskaya’ metro station (towards the north-east of the city center).
