 Auob Country Lodge OverviewArrive at an oasis in the Kalahari Desert on your tour of the south. Sundowners on the rusted-red dunes will take your breath away. Hiking through a landscape of ancient sands with contrasting white limestone formations, formed by a once much wetter Auob River that is dry today but teeming with abundant game species, which you can view during relaxed game drives. Recommended for: Exploring the Kalahari and lots of game to be viewed on the reserve, great sundowners and dune dinners. Auob Country Lodge Accommodation: Auob Country lodge haves a total of 25 rooms of which 20 is twin rooms,1 is a Double room (King size bed) and 4 are Family rooms (4 persons per room) All rooms have en-suite bathrooms. All rooms are fitted with fans and air-conditioning. TheLodge is unfortunately not well-suited for guests in wheelchairs.
There are 17 camp sites on lawn and communal ablution block, hot & cold water. B-B-Q and Electricity at each camp site and the other lodge facilities available to camping guests. Auob Country Lodge Facilities: Swimming pool, bar, dining room, curio shop and a relaxing lounge with television. Thatched lapa and barbecue area and conferencing facilities available on request. We cater for weddings or special functions in a beautiful Kalahari setting. Special pre-arival arrangement can be made for Honeymooners, anniversaries and birthdays - private dinners, snack baskets and cakes. 24hrs electricity available for campers. Credit card facilities available: Master & Visa and most European cards. Well maintained gravel airstrip - co-ordinates are S24.49 E18.46. Pick up transfers. Guided & Non-guided hiking trails. Game drives on the reserve. Stargazing on request. Auob Country Lodge Location: +/- 130km south east of Mariental and 6 km before Gochas on C15 or coming from the south 6 km after Gochas. The lodge is approximately 190km from the Mata-Mata gate to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Lodge co-ordinates - 24° 49’ 13,9” Latitude 18° 46’ 23.7” Longitude
