	Sossusvlei Desert Camp Overview Located just five kilometers away from Sossusvlei Lodge, Desert Camp offers four-star accommodations at affordable rates. Guests will enjoy the genuine African ambiance of the camp. Sossusvlei Desert Camp Rooms: Desert Camp offers 20 self-catering guest units with twin beds, including 2 wheelchair accessible units. All units have electronic in-room safes, private bathrooms, kitchens with stoves, refrigerators, kettles and barbeque areas. Guests can rent kitchen utensils, firewood and fire lighters. The Lodge has a strict environmental policy which forbids the use of air-conditioning, but there are rotary fans in the rooms. There are no televisions or telephones in the guestrooms. Sossusvlei Desert Camp Restaurants & Bars: The units at the camp are self-catering, but there is also a communal boma with dining and washing facilities. Guests can also enjoy buffet meals or order picnic baskets at the Sossusvlei Lodge, which is nearby. At the camp, there is a bar that serves soft drinks and alcoholic beverages that include cocktails and a wide selection of Southern Africa's finest wines, in addition to Namibian and German beers and schnapps. Guests can enjoy complimentary coffee, tea and cold water in the hotel reception area 24 hours a day.
