Twyfelfontein Country lodge Accommodation:

Twyfelfontein Country Lodge has a total of 65 rooms of which 40 are twin rooms, 4 Triple rooms, 4 Double rooms, 8 twin inter leading rooms, 1 VIP room and 8 twin tour guide rooms.

All the rooms have en-suite bathrooms.

All rooms are fitted with fans.

Our Lodge is unfortunately not well-suited for guests in wheelchairs.

The lodge boasts a swimming pool, Bar, Restaurant, Curio shop and guest lounge.

Special prior arrangement for private dinner, cakes, welcoming card, fruit or snack basket can be arranged for honeymooners, anniversaries or birthdays. The VIP unit is available on request only.

Lodge and rooms has 220 volts electricity.

Credit Card facilities available at lodge: Master & Visa and most European cards.

Airstrip co-ordinates - 2,2km gravel airstrip is S 20.34 E 14.22. Arrange for pick-up prior to arrival.

Activities:

Ephemeral river drive – Drive along the Huab & Aba Huab river bed in search of Desert Elephants and other wildlife.

Excursion – Morning guided tour to the UNESCO Heritage site of rock paintings & engravings, Burnt Mountain and the Organ pipe rock formation.

Stargazing – After dinner, join our guide on a short drive away from for the lodge to observe the night sky and stars.

Guided hiking trails – either in the mornings or afternoons.

Cycling – Mountain bikes available for hire at the lodge.

The lodge is located about 110km west of Khorixas in Damaraland. Its also situated in the heart of the Twyfelfontein Uibasen Conservancy. 4km from the historic rock engraving site.
