Welcome to Torgos Lodge

Where your every dream may become a reality. On your way to the well-known Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park you will find a true hide-away amongst a forest of camel-thorn trees. Surrounded by red dunes and situated in the dry Auob river, you will experience true tranquillity, silence and solitude. Torgos Lodge is the perfect choice for overnight accommodation on your way to the Kgalagadi park. Come and experience true Namibian hospitality and cuisine!!

Recommended for:

The lodge is build on a 11 000 ha farmland and a host to a large variety of game and wildlife species. Some of the species include springbuck, oryx, waterbuck, giraffe, red-hartebeest, eland zebra, blue-wildebeest, kudu and some smaller species. We also host one of the largest vulture breeding areas in the dry riverbed and plenty of other bird species. Night time is something to experience; some of the species you might see are Bat-Eared Foxes, Caracal, Brown hyena, Porcupine, Pangolin, African Wildcat, Antbear and other smaller animals. Lion, Cheetah and Spotted Hyena also pass through from the park occasionally. Animal noises can often be heard at the lodge and creates a true African atmosphere.

Torgos Safari Lodge Accommodation:

Our lodge offers 2 luxury en-suite chalets and 8 luxury en-suite tented chalets. Each unit is equipped with ¾ beds a shower (hot and cold) running water, basin and flushable toilet. Each unit also has its own veranda overlooking the dry Auob River, for enjoyment of a magnificent African sunset. The chalets are equipped with air-conditioning and the tented chalets have roof fans and roll-up canvas windows to let in clear and clean air.

Torgos Safari Lodge Facilities:

We offer the following: Dinner, bed and breakfast, Dining area with finest hospitality & cuisine, Early morning and sun-downer drives, Unguided hiking and excursion to the Kgalagadi Transfronteir Park. The Air-strip are located (Coordinates S25” 42 min 651 sec, E019” 56 min 286 sec) and in the evening an outside barbeque is available for enjoyment of the star – lit Kalahari evenings.

Torgos Safari Lodge Location:

We are situated on the eastern border in southern Namibia and the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is only 5km from the lodge. The border entry and gate entering the park from the Namibian side is Mata Mata. There is border and passport control. Gate times: 08H00 – 16H30.

Winter is on its last breath, the days are warming up but evenings are still chilly, lots of baby animals abound as summer nears and providing for great entertainment on our morning game drives.
