From the south, on the SH-1 bypass, go right at Basin Reserve Park roundabout and head up Cambridge Terrace. At the end, bear left onto Wakefield Street, and continue over the junction with Taranaki Street but NOT onto Jervis Quay (which is the main road and veers right). Stay on the (now minor road) Wakefield Street and go to the end and the hostel is on your left.

From the north, come off the motorway at the exit for The Terrace. At the junction (James Cook Hotel ahead of you), go right and then the next left onto Boulcott Street, and follow it round until you see a left turn into Willis Street. Go up Willis Street and then right into Mercer Street, across Victoria Street and into Wakefield Street. The hostel is on your right.
