Chef Charlie Brown is keen to point out that many of the ingredients that go into the delights on your plate at Le Manoir, have come from the restaurant's own garden, and the meat and seafood are locally-sourced, in order to showcase the best of New Zealand, fused with the culinary inspirations and traditions of the Med.
The menu itself might be limited - just four or five options for each course - but that way you know each is being prepared just for you, and to a well-practised high standard. Fresh regal salmon, poached duck leg with sweet potato puree, and almond caramel washed down with an aged brandy...come on, you know you're being spoiled here.
