Iguacu Restaurant & Bar Overview

Large, multi-award winning restaurant in Parnell, offering modern International cuisine using the highest quality ingredients. The generous sized dishes can be enjoyed inside under the glass roof, or on the patio for a spot of people-watching.

An Auckland institution for years, Iguacu Restaurant & Bar (named after the famous Iguacu falls on the Argentina/Brazil border), provides a welcoming atmosphere, serving up an ever-evolving and extensive menu to suit all palates, including a healthy children's menu. A la carte, vegetarian, tapas and set menus are available, while the restaurant is very accommodating to those with special dietary requirements - just ask.

Of the many dishes that stand out, the Iguacu Chicken Curry and Pacific Ocean Kokoda are highlights. If you're just after a casual, affordable lunch, settle down in either the restaurant or relaxed bar area and feast on the 'light lunch' menu.

Sundays are a major day in Iguacu's culinary calendar. While mum and dad enjoy some downtime, grazing over lunch or tapas, The Kid's Club takes over the private dining room, offering movies on the big screen, and toys & games to keep the little ones amused.

The casual bar is great for light bites and a chance to unwind, while the more formal bar is perfect for pre-dinner drinks while you study the sumptuous menu. Iguacu really does go all-out to provide its diners with not just great food, but a complete dining experience.

Wonderful Food
Mike from New Zealand

We only popped in for some Tapas and drinks with a few friends and ended up ordering several extra rounds of Tapas. They are so well presented and taste divine. We sat in the courtyard which is a lovely spot to sit outside and relax in. The staff were very attentive and looked after our group really well. We enjoyed is so much we've already booked up return visit to enjoy dinner. If you go for Tapas you can't go wrong with the vietnemese beef spring rolls or the Braised Pork cheeks.

Great Service, Great Food!
Maria Hopper from New Zealand

I recently enjoyed a great evening out with my husband at the Iguacu. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, very attentive staff and delicious food. It's a large restaurant with a couple of bars so we made a real night of it by having a couple of pre-dinner drinks before enjoying our meal. The salmon fillet was perfection on a plate. We'll definitely be returning soon!

Thanks for your lovely comments Maria. So often people are more motivated to comment online about the less favourable aspects of their dining experience rather than their positive experiences so your feedback is most refreshing and has made my day!
