	Squid Row Gastro Pub Overview Fun and friendly seafood bar-restaurant just 15 minutes walk from Eden Park. Family-run, the atmosphere is very laid back, with a fantastic menu of local fish and some great lunch deals. The interior of Squid Row is covered in arty black and white photographs of surfers and seascapes, which really enhance the marine ambience. The owner, who has several gastro-bars in the city, used to live in Hawaii, so there's a very holiday vibe going on here, with impossibly-happy serving staff and a young clientele. Every kind of fishy dish is on offer here, from Marlborough Salmon Fillets and Smoked Fish Pie, to Goujon Platters and Boston Seafood Chowder. Lunchtimes bring in the crowds, who love to take advantage of the $12 menu. Sundays, you can get 2-4-1 plates of mussels in their various guises, and when you're done with the fish, you can finish off with one of their delicious desserts, perhaps the Chocolate Pudding with Honey Mascarpone Ice Cream, or the Affogato.
