Double C Charters specialises in comprehensive fishing and diving charters around the beautiful Whatanihi Bay in the Marlborough Sounds, a short 15-minute boat hop from Havelock. The crew are highly experienced, professional, knowledgable and, above all, heaps of fun, and know all the best spots in the Bay in which to catch prime fish such as groper, blue cod and snapper.

If there's a particular fish you're after, the crew will know where to find it, whether it's the waters around D'Urville Island, out in the Cook Strait, or around the outer Marlborough Sounds. The D'Urville Island sightseeing trip is particularly popular, with incredible scenery, as well as the opportunity to catch your own lunch! Divers are well catered for, with an experienced diver on hand to take you down into these beautiful waters, should you wish to get really close to what you might be bringing home for dinner.

Your boat is a zippy 10.2m Offshore Senator, with state-of-the-art electronics and private bathroom facilities, plus plenty of room to store your haul, depending on how lucky you get. Your skipper, Kevin, has thirty years experience sailing these waters and knows everything about the area, and will entertain you with fascinating tales of the history of the Sounds. Those wishing to book a multi-day trip can enjoy the comforts of Kevin's charming home, with four guest bedrooms, an outdoor hot tub, incredible views across the water, and the mouthwatering Kiwi cooking of Kevin's wife and business partner, Jill.

Day trip - $200 each based on 7 people in the boat, and includes all tackle and bait, tea, coffee, packed lunch and crew.
