Information Technology Authority

In his vision of the future of Oman, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said states that importance should be placed on developing people's skills in the field of Information Technology.

Information Technology Authority (ITA) is an autonomous legal body, connected to the Ministry of National Economy. ITA concentrates on projects relating to IT infrastructure and digital systems.

Services provided include e-Government services in areas such as finance, education, tendering and e-legislation.

The e.oman initiative facilitates improved interaction between citizens, businesses and government and importantly, provide educational opportunities and employment for Omani youth.

The people of Oman will benefit from these improvements and Oman will become a more attractive destination for foreign investment.

The ITA plans to implement other initiatives, with the aim of bringing Oman to the forefront of 21st Century services and technology.
