The Siam Junk

What an amazing experience being onboard the Siam Junk is! I spent a fantastic week aboard the Siam Junk with some good friends, cruising to the Similan islands, a dream holiday to celebrate a very special occasion.

I knew from the very first minute I saw the Junk that it was going to be the trip of a lifetime and it was! Our time on the Junk was made even more special by the wonderful crew who looked after us every inch of the way, doing everything from organising trips ashore, to cooking the most wonderful food and if that was not enough you could also have a relaxing massage whilst the Junk made its way to the next special destination... the scenery has to be seen to be believed.

I have been on a couple of boats described as 'luxury' before, but The Siam Junk defines the word 'Luxury', once in your cabin you can easily forget that you are actually at sea! The rooms are so very spacious, there was plenty of space for myself and my partner and all our luggage, fitted cupboards meant that we could store everything safely away AND I have to mention that as both of us are tall people we were concerned that we would be continually stooping when 'below decks'...but we need not have worried the ceilings were high and the floors wide! There were no concerns about sharing a bathroom with other guests either, we had our own en suite, complete with power shower. In fact being in our room was like being in a four star hotel room, with everything you could need.

I could write forever about our incredible time, but enough to say that I would recommend The Siam Junk to anyone who wants luxury, style and an experience of a lifetime!

The Siam Junk certainly exceeded my expectations when we chartered her with friends and family for a 7-day cruise to the Similan islands from Phuket. When they said in the brochure, 'it's a luxury yacht charter', they were absolutely right. From the moment we saw her traditional and classic lines to her luxurious and relaxed atmosphere astounded us and the warmth of welcome we received from the crew was amazing! Stunning scenery greeted us changing each day following magnificent sunrises (a photographer's paradise) sailing around magnificent islands that were glorious for swimming, snorkelling, diving or just relaxing. This was truly an oriental delight including the delicious fusion cuisine, relaxing massages, incredible rooms (so much head space too); we just didn't want it to finish. I would have no hesitation in recommending this magnificent boat - The Siam Junk. Straight after our charter, a couple took the boat for their wedding - bliss!
