![]() Baan Rim Pa OverviewBaan Rim Pa, founded by international restaurateur Tom McNamara, is one of the best-known restaurants in Thailand. Retired, but looking for a new challenge, McNamara converted his Thai-style cliff top house into a Thai restaurant offering Royal Thai Cuisine. Stunning views over Kalim and Patong bays combined with international standards of food and service to catapult Baan Rim Pa to the forefront of Phuket dining.
On the headland between the north end of frenetic Patong Beach and tranquil Kalim Bay, Baan Rim Pa is an oasis of peace and quiet, broken only by the sounds of world-famous pianist Tommy Doyle’s jazz, blues and Broadway standards and the whisper of the surf breaking gently on the rocks below.
Complementing the restaurant’s fine Thai cuisine are La Comanche Wine and Cigar Bar and ‘The Collection’, a Thai handicrafts boutique.
As a sign of its excellence, Baan Rim Pa has achieved numerous accolades, including WINE SPECTATOR MAGAZINE ‘Award of Excellence’ 2002 - 2010, ASIA TRAVEL TIPS ‘Premier Travel Award’ and TIME MAGAZINE ‘Best of Asia’.
A mark of Baan Rim Pa’s special place among Phuket restaurants is its appeal to a broad clientele: tourists looking for a unique Thai dining experience, romantic honeymoon couples and Thai and expatriate residents entertaining family, friends or overseas visitors all find their way to Baan Rim Pa.

March 2012 This is one place in Phuket where you have to take your friends to impress them
David from Langkawi
We were here for a couple of days so we decided to try Baan Rim Pa and now I know why they say everything is about location!
What a great location on the rocks with the sound of the sea plus what food - the duck - Penang Ped it is called on the menu was absolutely delicious, tender slices of duck in a delicious and gourgeously spicy sauce and amongst the 4 dishes we had it really was the highlight, not to say that the others weren't also good, but this one just stuck in my memory. Don't move - I'll be back for more next time I'm in Phuket!
