 Golden Star Hotel Prague OverviewLocated in the center of the historical city of Prague, the Golden Star Hotel is within walking distance of Prague Castle and overlooks the Royal Route. The Golden Star Hotel is located in the Lesser Town area. The first reference to this historical house can be traced back to 1372, when it was owned by the Mayor of Hradcany. In the intervening years, ownership passed to servants of Czech kings, members of the clergy and many important Prague citizens. Between 1723 and 1732, the house went thorough costly renovations. In May 2000, another renovation was completed and the Golden Star Hotel reopened its doors. During its renovation, many original architectural features were preserved offering guests modern luxury in a period setting. The original 270 year-old staircase, ornamental plaster ceilings and period wooden furniture heighten the historical atmosphere of the house.
