Hradcany-Prague Castle Information

      Hradcany is the staggeringly  beautiful castle district of the city dominated by the 570 metre length of Prague Castle one of the world’s greatest and most photographed monuments. Surrounding the entire area are a huge number of palaces, churches and noble buildings. To name the Archbishops Palace, the Martinsky Palace, the Schwarzenberg Palace as well as the churches of St Vitus, the Capucin Cloister, the Karmelite Cloister and the Church of St John of Nepomuk is to mention but a few. The area isn’t all about glorious buildings because there are also beautiful gardens, parks and peaceful areas especially within the grounds of the Prague Castle and in the enormous nearby locale of Petrin. Being one of the most prestigious locations in the city Hradcany also has a large number of beautiful restaurants and cafes many providing magnificent views to the city beneath.
