INTRODUCTION:

Phenix restaurant is without a doubt one of the stand-out restaurants in the city of Prague. Opened since just July of 2007 it rarely disappoints those who come in expecting an exceptional Lunch or Evening meal. Like with all restaurants aspiring to greatness the gastronomic fare is dependent on two crucial elements, freshly acquired ingredients and a capable chef. Phenix restaurant has the good fortune to have the well-travelled and highly talented Robert Nerad conducting things and creating the culinary specialities. He and his team are outstanding, It goes without saying that only the freshest of ingredients are accepted by them and that if something is out of season then that that selection won't be on the menu until it is. All  the more reason to trust in some magnificent seasonal dishes at The Phenix.

CUISINE AND SPECIALITIES:

The gastronomic fare at Phenix Restaurant consists of international dishes with some classically good Czech ones also, furthermore what genuinely elevates its reputation is that it doesn't try to have all things for all people. It sees no necessity to have an incredibly long menu with a hundred different offerings. On the contrary, it concentrates solely on quality. And how superb it is. Meat dishes done with exceptional flair and imagination by the Head Chef and his assistants are the restaurant's real calling card. Perfectly prepared according to your wishes and dressed in unforgettable sauces and garnishes come their Pork, Chicken, Beef Steak, Lamb and Fish choices. But meat offerings aren't everything here , Salad dishes are also light, fresh, healthy and very tasty as are the Vegetarian selections for those who prefer to avoid meats. For all diners the Dessert possibilities are quite extra-special and incredibly tempting.

ATMOSPHERE AND STYLE:

The atmosphere and ambience at Phenix Restaurant is hard to beat. The design seems to be all about light, space and especially comfort. The furnishings are rich and deep, one could sit for hours in the easy, cushioned chairs and take it all in. Of course privacy is paramount too. All of the tables are a nice distance from each other to give a soothing and relaxing feel. The dining area is generous with two tiers in operation, the upper one affording memorable views across to Prague Castle and the sights around it. Seating is capable of handling up to 110 customers at any one time. For those interested in using it for a large event like a corporate occasion or even a wedding reception it makes a tremendous choice. Most people will find themselves there in smaller group or indeed just with their loved one. The mood is laid back and easygoing and the staff are as helpful and discrete as one would wish. Phenix isn't a restaurant only devoted exclusively to fine dining, it is also a cafe as well as a bar and therefore at any time one can drop in and spend a little time over a carefully chosen beverage to suit the moment.

FURTHER INFORMATION:

At any time one is welcome for a Hot or Cold Drink and a selection from their Sandwich menu to go along with it. It does merit mentioning that the Wine and Spirit List at this establishment is extremely impressive. Some of the wines, not so famous by name but chosen from some of the Czech Republics most picturesque Moravian vineyards are simply superb. Phenix restaurant is ideal for dropping into at any time for just about any refreshment or memorable gastronomic experience. Finding Phenix restaurant should present no problems whatsoever being as it is along the banks of the silver coloured River Vltava upon Smetanovo Nabrezi and just a couple of hundred metres from timeless Charles Bridge. The restaurant appreciates if email bookings arrive at least 24hrs in advance. It isn't crucial but advance booking for groups and parties of all sizes is much appreciated. At Phenix they are open every day from 9am onwards till midnight at least, while Fridays and Saturdays they will be open till 1am.
