CUISINE AND SPECIALITIES:

As mentioned the Lunchtime Menu is outstanding in that it offers fully four broad choices every working day on its midday menu and at great value too. one selection is always vegetarian and the others are usually drawn from Beef, Chicken or Pork done imaginatively and with a nice Side Order to go with it. The main menu which comes into play from about 3pm onwards carries some of the great classical dishes of czech gastronomy many of them served with dumplings and thick sauces which are wonderful. Be sure to wash them down with one of the superb Czechs beers on offer which accompany these meals so well. Restaurant Nostalgie can also be assured to put on some delicious desserts which always crown a superb meal. Look out for their Home made Czech cake which is especially good.

ATMOSPHERE AND STYLE:

As one would have hoped the style and ambience of Restaurant Nostalgie neatly evokes a past time of great meals served in friendly surroundings with helpful and kind service. The interior with its unadorned and uncomplicated chairs and tables makes for a pleasant mood while the faces of the famous czech characters from decades past adorn the walls. The colour of the restaurant is primarily a soothing and relaxing mustard colour and the privacy which one appreciates is neatly assured by placing the dining tables at a discrete distance from one another. One is made extremely welcome even if coming in to look around and maybe spend a little time over a refreshing wine of cool mineral.

You will find Nostalgie restaurant in the heart of Prague on the street Rybna where they are at number 3 and very close to Old Town Square. Namesti Republiky is your best metro and tram stop if arriving by public transport and you will see Rybna Street right beside the mighty St Jacobs Church. They open here every day from around noon time till approximately 10.30 when they take last orders. If you have a feeling that you like the restaurant so much that you would like to hire it out completely for an evening then the management will be delighted to organise that for you.
