December 2011 Make a point to eat here!
Ashley from OHIO
When we visited puerto rico in Nov. we ran across this "hole in the wall" and we ate there everyday!!! the mojito's are wonderful! the food is excellent! our server was fun and full of information! If you want a pina colada visit Barrachina for it. Better yet lunch and Punto de Vista, dinner at Barrachina and back for the bar scene at Punto de Vista! We miss it already! Can't wait to return soon!

January 2011 Best drink specials, delicious food
Adam Smith from NYC
Puerto Rico has tons of delicious food aimed at tourists, but this place is the best deal in town. The food is authentic, delicious and beautifully presented, and the drinks are cheap. It's what everyone wants on vacation. We're just sorry we found it on our last day on the island.

January 2011 Wow!!!
Sharon Fallon from New Jersey
We went back twice and have tried almost everything on the lunch menu. (They wouldn't let us order the hamburger) Everything is fantastic! After paying $5 a beer on the ship, it was fun to pay $1, and the food is so well prepared. A great value and fun to meet the funny owner who sounds just like Ray Romano. Don't miss in Old San Juan.

December 2010 Best Tostones
Jenny S from Dallas, TX
We stopped into this place just before our ship set sail. Absolutely loved it!. The beer prices were the best.
We met the owner presonally - extremely friendly.
I loved the fact that he was outside on the sidewalk with a joker hat soliciting business.
We will definitely visit this place again on our next cruise.

December 2010 Great Find!
Stanley Fisher from Brooklyn, NY
My wife and I were told to try this place by a friend who had visited Puerto Rico about 3 months ago. We did not know what to expect based on his history of recommending places to eat. We were pleasantly surprised to find that this time he was spot on. The food was excellent! The service friendly and the atmosphere was lively. We will definitely return on out next trip to Old San Juan.

December 2010 Best Mufungo (However, you spell it?) in Town!
Dwight Norris from Boston
I went here on a suggestion from a person that worked for Holland America. She stated they had the best mufungo in town. I was quite surprised to find this right across the street from the cruise port and it seemed like a small bar inside of a building. I tell you the food they put out is completely different from what you see outside!
They cook everything to order and from scratch. If you have a wait a little bit know it is because they are making your meal especially for you. I waited about 15-20 minutes for my mufungo to come out. It looked like it was presented on "Iron Chef" with the presentation style. I almost wanted to take a picture of it.
The mashed plantain wall that holds the delicious sauce and choice of meat on the interior is so good. The mashed plantains are baked in a way that brings out of the flavor of the fruit. It is truly amazing!
I did order the mojito as well and it was delicious! They had a two for 1 special for $8 dollars, which was awesome. They also had $1 corona that was 8.5 ounces, which everybody was buying to squench their thirst, but not get drunk.
All around I loved the place and the funny owner with his jester's hat on! If step in remember to say hi. All the servers are great and informative. 5 STARS!

November 2010 Fantastic food and service, only a fool would eat somewhere else!!
Joe Callaghan from Georgia
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that enjoys local food, a good atmosphere, and great prices. I was in San Juan for business and spent three days looking for a good restaurant, finally a bartender from Barrachina pointed us in the right direction (and yes the pina coladas are well worth it), thank you d-lo from Chicago. We made our way to Punta De Vista and had a great dinner. The prices are low, food is excellent, and the beer flowed like water. We visited on a non-cruise night so we didn't get the party atmosphere, but we had the chance to talk to the owner and d-lo stopped by for a few hours. You will be blown away when the food is served to your table, five star presentation, taste, and service. Don't visit a tourist trap and pay too much for so-so food, there's a lot of those around so be careful. Look for the New Jersey guy in the jester hat, he will not steer you wrong. I want to thank the staff and the owner for a great experience.
