How to get there

From San Juan take Route 22 east to Exit 48 towards Ciales, continue to follow road up crossing Rd #2. Continue on road for approximately 7.5 miles, you will pass "Paseo Lineal" on right. Make a left on Rt.145 towards Morovis (Burger King at intersection) Merge onto Rt. 149 South and follow up mountain. Pollos Necos will be on your right.

For a taste of authentic Puerto RIcan food, Pollos Necos is a great choice. Located at the start of the central mountain range in Ciales, the restaurant is perched on the side of a mountain offering beautiful panoramic views of "Paseo lineal".

The specialties are rotisserie chicken and succulent ribs which you can combine with great side dishes such as "yuca al mojo", out of this world sweet potatoes, rice with pigeons peas -"Arroz con Gandules" and "alcapurrias"-mash plantain filled with beef. The food is fresh, delicious and inexpensive.

The service is very friendly and informal. It's where locals eat. Pollos Neco is open Thrusdays through Sundays, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Get there before 3:00pm if you want to experience the full menu.. Enjoy!
