San Salvador Rainforest Zip-lining & Rappelling Adventure

This is one tour that is highly recommended, enjoy a trip to the secluded Carite Rainforest near the city of Caguas, Puerto Rico. The forest is only 40 minutes away from San Juan and Ecoquest provides transportation. Ecoquest is the only ecotourism company allowed to operate in this virgin rainforest once inhabited by Taino Indians. The rainforest is clean and quiet, the water is so pure you can drink it.

This wonderful full day tour includes a hike through a pristine river, climbing up and down beautiful reddish colored rocks, belaying up and then rappelling down a majestic 80 foot waterfall. There are also 3 zip line crossings, one crosses almost 400 feet over a breathtaking canyon and waterfall. This moderately challenging tour takes 3-4 hours. Ecoquest provides fresh fruit and a mouthwatering homemade Puerto Rican meal in a typical countryside setting.

Transportation pick-up for this adventure starts at 8:00am with drop off in San Juan at 4:00pm. Cost per person: $139 + tax.

Participants on this tour should wear bathing suit underneath shorts, good traction sneakers, small backpack, towel, change of clothes including 3 T-shirts, change of shoes and bottle of water.

Campo Rico Zip-lining Adventure

This is another highly recommend adventure tour set in Hacienda Campo Rico a 2,300 acre estate located only 5 minutes away from San Juan in the city of Carolina, Puerto Rico. This secluded natural treasure is comprised of lush costal plains, extensive mangroves, lagoons and limestone mountains all making for the perfect setting for an unforgettable nature-adventure in Puerto Rico.

This popular tour starts off with a 15 minute hike though the lush northern coast plains and limestone formations. This area is home to a wide variety of birds and reptiles. Once at the top of the first mountain you will marvel at the majestic views of where the coastline meets the blue Atlantic Ocean. This adventure consists of 7 exhilarating zip line crossing including one of the longest in Puerto Rico at 1,000 feet and 200 feet above ground. The zip lines will traverse over a scenery of ocean, mountains, plantain fields and lagoons. There are also 7 hanging canopy bridges that allow you to trek 30 feet high over the trees. After your last zip line crossing, you will land at the unique Mojito Bar where guests can enjoy a delicious homemade Puerto Rican mea included with the cost of the tour. There is also a cash bar available.

There are two sessions for this tour from 8:30am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 4:30pm.

Transportation is provided from the San Juan Area including the Cruise ship ports. Cost per person is $139 + tax. If you decide to drive yourself to Hacienda Campo Rico the cost is $129 per person.

Participants should bring shorts, good traction sneakers, sunblock, mosquito repellent, small backpack and water bottle.
