Rajasthan’s weather can be divided into four major seasons: Summer, Monsoon, Autumn and Winter.
Summer
The season extends from early April to the end of June. The temperatures soar up to 45 C and it can be really harsh and dry. The nights are comfortable, though. If travelling through Rajasthan in this season, drink and carry lots of fluid.
Monsoon
After the harsh summer season , monsoons provide a welcome respite. The season ranges from early July to the end of September. Almost all the rainfall Rajasthan gets is in this season. The scenery changes drastically: the dry plains change into lush green lands, and the slopes take your breath away. Temperatures normally reach a maximum of 32 C, but it is quite comfortable. Nights get cooler.
Autumn
The Autumn starts to set in from October to November. The climate is pleasant, with maximum temperatures not exceeding 30 C. The scenery is beautiful and the land is lush. Nights start to get chilly.
Winter
Winters lasts from December to March. Days are pleasant, bright and sunny, with temperatures ranging from 10 C to 25 C. There's not a lot of rainfall, but occasional showers can be expected. Nights get quite cold, but the clear skies and the nippy air almost entice you to take a walk, especially around the lakes which can be found in most of the places.
