About MyDestination.com:

My Destination Rajasthan is part of the My Destination network. A global network of sites created in 2006 by two young entrepreneurs, James Street & Neil Waller. My Destination is focused on providing websites that offer unrivalled levels of local information, actually written by locals. Each site is run by a team on the ground in each destination who have their fingers on the pulse and are providing real time information. The websites combine accurate information on the local area and businesses with the added usability of an online booking engine, offering travellers a one-stop shop where they can research and book their holiday on a single website.
The websites are fresh and simple in design, with a firm focus on quality and quantity of content. Reviews are always written first-hand and every effort is taken to obtain the best images and information available in order to present a true representation of the services on offer. User-generated content and feedback is also built into the website, building upon content quantity and accuracy; major features of the service we provide.

Heading up My Destination Rajasthan - Shinod Lukose

Shinod Lukose:

Born in Kerala (a Southern state of India) and brought up in Rajasthan, Shinod learnt and experienced firsthand why India is considered such a diverse country with every state and even each city having its own culture and traditions.

After completing his degree in Science he got an opportunity to work for a multinational pharmaceutical company, where he got to travel around Rajasthan and fall in love with its great history. Meanwhile he was hand-picked to work for a Top Insurance company and grasped the opportunity since finance was one of his weakest area which he wanted to improve. Whilst he was there he became influenced by the new generation entrepreneurs from India taking on the world and it became his ambition to start up his own business in the service industry. He started with couple of franchises in the field of general Insurance and Matrimonial services with mixed results when he came across MyDestination.com and became convinced about the idea of tourism with a personal and local touch.

Himanshu Gupta:

Born in a family of doctors, Himanshu chose another path and after completing his degree in electronics and telecommunications and an M.B.A. in marketing management he went to work to set up his family′s hospital. Having set up the hospital and a Medical Nurses′ college, and spending almost eight years of his life in the medical field, he decided to follow his heart a little.

Himanshu then set up a mini mall in the heart of the tourist city Udaipur, catering to a vast visiting population of tourists and he wants to apply his experience gathered from this venture to MyDestination.com/Rajasthan.
